On March 30, the Chinese TV series "Giang Son Dai Dong" officially announced the cast and started filming. The film stars Duong Mich, Luu Hoc Nghia, Ho Quan, Luu Dich Quan, Duong Lac...
This is a key historical drama project directed by the General Department of Radio and Television of China, and also the highest-scale historical drama work in Duong Mich's more than 30 years of acting career.
Starting from the guest role of Princess Ham Nghi in "Duong Minh Hoang" at the age of 4, to "Giang Son Dai Dong", Duong Mich has participated in a total of 7 historical costumes. She is known as "the 85th generation actress with the most solid historical costume film background".

The most surprising point in the "Giang Son Dai Dong" project is the character setting of Duong Mich, she will play two roles.
Duong Mich also plays the lost princess Phung Truy of Bac Yen and Empress Dowager Phung Yen Nhi of Bac Nguy - two characters with intertwined fates but completely different personalities.
Phùng Trụy was a concubine who was offered to Emperor Thái Vũ of the Northern Wei, carrying domestic hatred, silently enduring it in the harem.
And Phung Yen Nhi was her grandchild, from a lowly servant status rising to become an empress, after Emperor Wen Cheng's early death, Thac Bat Tuan, she lowered the curtain to reign, becoming a legendary politician who took control of the Northern Wei.
The challenge also lies in the character's age - from a 15-year-old girl to a 49-year-old Empress Dowager, spanning 34 years. This requires Duong Mich to clearly show the transformation from immature, patient to dignified, decisive; considered a challenge in acting for her.
According to the media, the special thing about the project is also that the 5 main actors including Duong Mich, Luu Hoc Nghia, Ho Quan, Luu Dich Quan and Duong Lac are not ranked, true to historical drama, not chasing after the ranking style of idol movies.
In terms of production, the project is invested "huge" with an estimated cost of up to 300 million CNY.
The director is Diem Kien Cuong (who directed "Nhan Sinh Chi Lo"), the screenwriter is Kim Hai Thu (author of "Phong Khoi Lung Tay") - all are real names in the industry.
The film crew also cooperated with the Institute of Social Sciences and the Van Cuong Research Institute to thoroughly study from regimes, costumes to rituals of the Northern Wei Dynasty, using 3D printing technology to recreate artifact details. Costumes and props are all referenced from artifacts at Van Cuong Cave.
The filming location was carefully selected, combining Hengdian and Datong (Shanxi, China), both recreating the majesty of the Northern Wei palace and clearly showing local history.
Another breakthrough point is that the film is positioned as the "first historical drama to focus on women".
Currently, 98% of historical films on the market revolve around men; even "Dai Nu Chu" films often focus on the love affairs of the harem. But "Giang Son Dai Dong" reduces the emotional line, focusing on the political achievements of Empress Dowager Phung.
On March 30, Duong Mich flew to Zhejiang (China) to start filming.
