On the morning of November 17, at the Provincial People's Council session (special session), delegates elected Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province - as Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province for the 2021-2026 term, replacing Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai who will take up the task in Dong Thap province according to the assignment and transfer of the Central Government.
At the session, the People's Council of Ca Mau province also considered dismissing Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Previously, the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Secretariat on personnel work. Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province - ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and ceased to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; transferred and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; introduced to be elected as Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee.
At the decision implementation ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee - informed that Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, will cease to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and cease to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; transfer and appoint to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; introduce to be elected as Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province Lu Quang Ngoi thanked the People's Council of Ca Mau province for electing him as Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province.
