According to the draft plan, the first Hung Yen Provincial Flower Festival is expected to be held at the end of December 2026 in Phung Cong commune.
This will be a provincial-level event to promote and honor the profession of growing flowers, ornamental plants, and ornamental creatures; introduce OCOP products, key agricultural products, typical of Hung Yen and other localities; and at the same time promote trade promotion, tourism development, and attract investment in ecological agriculture and craft villages.
The festival is expected to include many rich activities such as: art flower and ornamental plant display space; OCOP product introduction area, craft village products, cuisine; seminars and talks on flower and ornamental plant industry development; livestream festival; cultural and artistic programs; opening and closing ceremonies and a series of experiential activities for tourists.
According to the orientation, the Flower Festival will gradually be built into an annual cultural and tourism event of the province, contributing to building the brand "Hung Yen Flower Festival", developing agricultural tourism and enhancing the economic value of craft villages.
At the meeting, leaders of departments, branches and localities focused on discussing the scale, theme, time, and location of organization; building exhibition spaces, cultural and artistic activities, trade promotion; and at the same time proposing to choose unique themes, creating unique highlights for the Festival.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lai Van Hoan emphasized that this is the first time Hung Yen province has organized the Flower Festival, so the preparation work needs to be carried out methodically and elaborately, creating an impression to become a regular cultural and tourism event, green tourism of the province in the following years.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lai Van Hoan requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to fully absorb the contributed opinions, continue to review and complete the draft plan in the direction of clearly defining the goals, scale, content, implementation roadmap and assigning specific tasks to each agency and unit; and at the same time study and advise inviting consulting units to participate in completing the plan.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lai Van Hoan also agreed on the viewpoint that the organization time is suitable for the scale of activities; the event theme must be associated with the development of green agriculture and tourism chains...
At the same time, it is proposed that the Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinate with agencies, units, and localities to study the allocation of appropriate resources, including promoting socialization, ensuring that the Festival is organized successfully, safely, and effectively, contributing to promoting the image of Hung Yen, promoting agricultural economy, tourism and craft villages of the province.
