Mr. Pham Quang Hoi - Director of the Agricultural Consulting and Support Center (Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City) said that the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City orchid Festival - in 2025, continued to spread the value of orchids, became a meaningful activity in the series of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and 135 years of President Ho Chi Minh (19.5.1890 - 19.5.2025).
The festival is not only a place to display and promote orchids, but also honors the key agricultural products of Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities with socio-economic cooperation with the city.
With the theme "Multi-colored Train", this year's Festival is inspired by two Thong Nhat trains departing at the same time on December 31, 1976, from Hanoi Station and Saigon Station - a symbol of the desire for peace and reunion after the country's reunification. This is a new feature with profound historical significance, helping to connect tradition and modernity in urban agricultural activities.
The festival is expected to attract more than 200 units including cooperatives, gardeners, and artisans to participate in the exhibition and the orchard contest. The total number of thorny flower displays reached 39,000 products, an increase of 35% compared to the previous tournament.
In addition to the flower exhibition, the Festival also arranges many spaces to promote culture and typical cuisine to serve people and tourists. A highlight is the work "Vietnamese Heart" - which won a Silver Award at the TiOS International Scalp Exhibition 2025 - which will be vividly recreated.
Many experiential activities are also organized such as flower dyeing instructions, flower arranging, artistic spraying, planting lanes on wooden bows, performing European-style works... contributing to creating a large-scale, creative and unique flower festival.
