Traditional Cheo melodies along with elaborate investment in scripts and staging have brought viewers memorable experiences.

At the Passion Connection point, walking street, Bach Dang night market (Hai Duong city), the Hai Duong City Cultural - Information - Sports Center often coordinates with Hai Duong Cheo Theater to organize a special Cheo art program. The program aims to bring Cheo art to the audience, so that Hai Duong people can enjoy the art of their hometown.

At each performance, actors and musicians demonstrate their skills in using traditional musical instruments such as drums, flute, erhu, monochord, Cheo singing, wind and ancient Cheo lyrics... attracting a large number of people and tourists to enjoy.

With the tradition of "Dong Chao Cup", the artists brought the audience Chao performances with profound meaning, with excerpts adapted from folktales, criticizing negative issues of ancient society such as superstition, deception...

In order to attract audiences to Cheo, in recent years, Hai Duong Cheo Theater has always created works that are both rich in Cheo quality and have humorous elements, combined with good melodies and lyrics to serve the audience.

Although her house is far from Hai Duong City, Ms. Tran Thi Hang (70 years old, Ninh Giang district) is still often present at the walking street and Bach Dang night market to enjoy special Cheo performances.

"On weekends, I often ask my children to take me to the walking street and Bach Dang night market to listen to Cheo.For us the elderly, enjoying Cheo music is a precious thing.Cheo is now somewhat different from before, but whether modern or traditional, it is carefully invested in from script to staging" - Ms. Hang shared.
