"Nocturnal" is a film project marking the reunion of the actor Ha Jung Woo, Kim Nam Gil.

“Nocturnal” tells the story of Bae Min Tae (Ha Jung Woo) - who begins a journey to discover the truth behind the mysterious death of his younger brother Seok Tae.

The disappearance of Moon Young - his younger brother's wife and the best-selling novel by novelist Kang Ho Ryung (Kim Nam Gil) that strangely predicts the incident make Min Tae suspicious.

To protect her novel and her reputation, Ho Ryung sets out to find the missing Moon Young. During this process, Ho Ryung and Min Tae constantly clash. However, their ultimate goal is to uncover the truth behind the case.

The project marks Ha Jung Woo’s first dramatic role in three years, since the crime action film “The God of Drugs.” Meanwhile, “Nocturnal” is also Kim Nam Gil’s latest work after the action comedy “The Fiery Priest 2.”

Korean media assessed that in this project, the two actors will have many tense clashes. The highlight of which is the scene where Min Tae grabs Ho Ryung by the collar as if he is interrogating her.

Min Tae's anger facing Ho Ryung's confusion and somewhat chaotic expression is portrayed realistically and naturally by Ha Jung Woo and Kim Nam Gil.

Describing the relationship between the two characters, Ha Jung Woo said that Min Tae and Ho Ryung are like fire and water, unable to get along. However, this is also a factor that makes the story more interesting.

The actor praised Kim Nam Gil for conveying Ho Ryung's mysterious qualities with subtle acting and keeping the character realistic.

Meanwhile, Kim Nam Gil shared that working with Ha Jung Woo was a joy for him. The actor said that there were many things he could learn from his senior and their chemistry was great, like when filming the movie "Mysterious Wardrobe" in 2020.

“Nocturnal” is scheduled to hit theaters on February 5 in South Korea.
