However, right before entering the stage, the national costume "Cuu Long An Van" of the Vietnamese representative suddenly encountered an incident, affecting her performance.
Jiu Long Yun Van is a design by Nguyen Song Huy of the mentors Van Thanh Cong and Vu Viet Ha, who won first prize in the National Cultural Costume at Miss Vietnam 2024. The costume is inspired by the work of the same name by artist Phan Van Tanh under the reign of King Khai Dinh, with the image of a ten dragon hidden in the clouds, expressing the aspiration to reach high and the spirit of harmony between heaven - earth - earth.
Before the competition, Kieu Duy said that despite practicing many times, she still could not help but feel nervous. The beauty admitted that she was nervous, even almost burst into tears when waiting for her turn to perform. I was under some pressure because I wanted to do well. Sometimes my eyes are spicy, but I try to calm down to step onto the stage, she said.

The incident occurred right before the competition when the collar of the outfit broke during transportation. This is an important detail connecting the front and body of the outfit, helping the overall harmony when moving. Designer Nguyen Song Huy said he was worried when he discovered that the necklace was broken despite being carefully packaged. The repair could not be completed on time because there was not enough time for the glue to dry and ensure stability, forcing the crew to decide to completely abandon this detail.
A little regret because necklaces are an important highlight, completing the cultural story of the design. But when I saw Kieu Duy maintaining his spirit and performing confidently, I felt more proud than regretful, he shared.
Despite lacking main accessories, Kieu Duy still completed the entire competition. Some videos recorded by the contestants and crew showed that she performed confidently, receiving attention from the judges. Because the National Costume competition was not broadcast live, Vietnamese audiences expressed regret at not being able to watch the entire performance.
In addition to the competitions, Kieu Duy and the Miss International 2025 contestants will continue to visit many locations in Japan such as Yamanashi Prefecture, Saruhashi Bridge, the energy research village and Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Temple.
On November 15, Kieu Duy met the reigning Miss International Thanh Thuy when she returned to Japan to accompany the contest. Thanh Thuy was present in the backstage of the National Costume competition, meeting contestants and interacting with national representatives.
Miss International 2025 takes place from November 12 to November 27. The final night will be the time for Thanh Thuy to perform the final walk and hand over the crown, and mark the final stage in her one-year journey in office.
