On May 25, according to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hung Yen province, the unit issued a plan to inspect the compliance with the law on copyright and related rights in the province.
Previously, on May 20, 2026, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a Plan to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of copyright and related rights; promptly detect, prevent and handle violations, especially in the digital environment.
The plan also aims to raise the awareness of law compliance of organizations and individuals in the use of works, computer programs, films, music, electronic games; protect the legitimate rights and interests of rights holders, contributing to building a transparent, healthy and sustainable investment and business environment.
Accordingly, the subjects of inspection include public cultural service business establishments such as karaoke, restaurants, hotels, cafes that use music and television; media and advertising businesses, art performance organizations; film distribution units, entertainment programs, digital content; organizations and individuals exploiting works on the online environment and digital platforms.
In addition, businesses and establishments using software and computer programs in production and business activities; businesses and organizations operating electronic games, radio, television and providing digital content services are also subject to inspection.
The content of the inspection focuses on the installation and use of copyrighted computer software; contracts and documents proving the legal right to use the software; the use and exploitation of copyrighted films, music, and television programs; broadcasting, transmitting, and sharing digital content on the internet and social networks.
In addition, functional agencies will inspect the performance of licensing obligations, payment of royalties, remuneration, copyright fees; acts of copying, disseminating, illegally exploiting works, audio and video recordings; the organization of art performances, the use of works in service business activities and the licensing, distribution, and exploitation of electronic games.
In which, acts such as copying and disseminating works illegally; using unlicensed audio and video recordings of copyright owners; broadcasting and transmitting programs infringing copyright; exploiting illegal digital content on the network environment will be contents that will be focused on inspection and handling.
