In the new episode of "Salon Drip 2" released on YouTube channel "TEO", IU appeared as a guest.
Comedian Jang Do Yeon asked IU, "How long do you want to live? ".
IU replied, "I want to live to be 80". "I promised my fans that I would hold a show filled with equipment with the participation of my fans until I was 70, so I had to live until then," she explained.
IU also explained further about her dream age of 80: "When I was around 80, my father said he wanted to live to 106. I hope I can live like my parents. They are my best friend."
When discussing family inheritance, IU shared with the MC: "I asked my parents how they would divide the inheritance, my father said he would divide it equally among the children. So I told him that I was fine. Just excluding the child, dividing it into three parts without me'".
IU debuted in 2008 with the single "Lost Child". She became famous with hits such as "Boo" and "Marshmallow," consolidating her reputation with "Good Day" in 2010.
She continuously releases hit songs such as "You and I", "Pink Shoes", "Friday" and "Palette", becoming one of the outstanding female singers and songwriters of Korea.

IU also appeared in the Netflix series "When Life Gives You Tangerines," released on March 7.
Netflix plans to release a total of 16 episodes (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) in the next four weeks. IU collaborated with actor Park Bo Gum, and the film was created by screenwriter Lim Sang Choon, known for "Fight For My Way" 2017 and "When the Camellia Blooms" (2019).
