According to the An Giang Provincial Department of Tourism, on the occasion of the Hung Kings Commemoration Day, the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026) and International Labor Day May 1, the province has done a good job of welcoming tourists to visit and travel.
As a result of tourism activities through the 2 holidays of Hung Kings Commemoration Day, April 30th and May 1st, the province welcomed more than 1 million tourist arrivals, an increase of 33.2% over the same period. In which, international tourists were more than 84,000 arrivals, an increase of 85.3% over the same period; domestic tourists were nearly 998,000 arrivals, an increase of 39.3% over the same period; overnight visitors were more than 231,000 arrivals, an increase of 43.1% over the same period. Total tourism revenue reached 2,338 billion VND, an increase of 60.9% over the same period. Average room occupancy in the 4-5 star segment reached over 90%; the remaining segments averaged from 65-70%.
Phu Quoc special zone alone is estimated to welcome more than 309,000 visitors, an increase of 34% compared to the same period; of which international visitors are more than 82,000, an increase of 89.9% compared to the same period; overnight visitors are more than 129,000, an increase of 69.5% compared to the same period.

According to the Department of Tourism, this year's holiday, civil servants, public employees and workers have many days off, which is a favorable condition to visit and travel with relatives, family, and friends.
In general, the preparation for serving tourists during this year's holiday has been very well prepared by localities and tourism service business units; the tourism industry has directed localities and businesses to prepare the best conditions to serve tourists, service products have been consolidated and renewed, and some new products have been put into operation; localities and tourism businesses have organized events and entertainment activities to serve tourists to ensure safety.
State management of tourism in the area is concerned, key tourist areas have proactively coordinated with relevant agencies and units to strengthen inspection and supervision of compliance with legal regulations on: ensuring service quality, food safety and hygiene, regulations on price registration, service price listing... especially tourist areas, attractions, entertainment areas, accommodation establishments and tourist transport vehicles before, during and after the holidays.

Organize serious duty shifts, promptly resolve difficulties, obstacles, and incidents related to security and safety for tourists; ensure service quality, prevent price augmentation, price pressure, and harassment of tourists that adversely affect the tourism image of the locality; ensure order and safety at stops, parking and parking for tourists.
Tourism businesses comply with regulations on price registration, service price listing; ensure the quality of products and services; strengthen promotion and advertising to attract tourists. Prepare all necessary conditions, allocate sufficient resources, direct guidance, rescue, and drowning rescue to ensure safety for tourists.
