On the morning of March 28, the People's Committee of Da Nang City held the inauguration ceremony of the Da Nang Museum and the statue of Uncle Ho at the General Science Library. The Da Nang Museum is located at 42 - 44 Bach Dang and 31 Tran Phu. This is the foundation of a 125-year-old historical building that was once the Geological Palace and Da Nang Imperial City Court during the French colonial period. The museum has a total area of 8,686m2, including a new block on Tran Phu Street and an old block renovated on Bach Dang Street.
The Da Nang Museum is currently displaying nearly 3,000 documents and artifacts selected from 27,000 artifacts, combined with traditional display methods and modern technology such as 3D Mapping films. In which, 9 topics are displayed: Photo wall Overview of Da Nang city, Da Nang nature and people, history of Da Nang urban area, the struggle to protect national independence, historical documents of war, Da Nang integration and development, cultural diversity, Da Nang Town Hall, collection of antiques of Da Nang Museum.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said: "The project has met the function of a modern museum with digital technology applications to create an intuitive and vivid effect. Especially the vivid approach and interpretation, the interactive spaces have connected emotions and intelligence to help visitors to explore and experience themselves".
On this occasion, Mr. Le Trung Chinh also thanked the individuals and units participating in donating artifacts to the Da Nang Museum. Among them was the car that Viet was moved to use when he took over the Da Nang City Hall on March 29, 1975 donated by Mr. Kieu Thanh Tan's family; the ao dai of former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh, which he wore during his tenure as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, donated by the Da Nang Ao Dai Heritage Club.
Along with the Da Nang Museum, the statue of Uncle Ho in the General Science Library was also inaugurated. The statue of Uncle Ho is 2.7m high, made of gray white marble stone, placed in the middle of the library grounds. Behind the statue is a 15m long, 4.05m high relief depicting the image of Khue Van Cac and the famous Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot.
Previously, at the 22nd Session (special session), the People's Council of Da Nang City agreed to exempt entrance fees for 3 days of 2025 (including Da Nang City Liberation Day March 29, Hung Kings' Commemoration Day March 10 of the lunar calendar (September 7), National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam September 2 for the Hanoi Sphinx, Da Nang Fine Arts Museum, Cham Sculpture Museum, Da Nang Museum.
For the new Da Nang Museum (located at 42 - 44 Bach Dang and 31 Tran Phu), Da Nang is exempt from entrance fees in 2025 until the City People's Council issues a Resolution regulating the new fee collection rate.
