Hero of the village
In the mountains and forests of Dien Bien, few people thought that the young Mong youth born in 1999 - A Thi season - would become a solid support, saving the whole Hung Pu Xi village from the terrible flash flood on August 1, 2025. In the middle of the night, when realizing unusual signs that could lead to a natural disaster, A Thi - as the Village Chief - immediately knocked on every door, calling for the people to evacuate. In a short time, 21 households with nearly 90 people were brought to safety, before the fierce flood swept the mountainside.
His brave and wise actions moved the Prime Minister to write a letter of commendation, and at the same time, Ao A Thi was named in the list of the most outstanding young faces of the year.
Not only is Thi a hero in times of danger, she is also an enthusiastic young leader in everyday life. Despite his young age, he has always been a pioneer in mobilizing people to abandon backward customs, preserve national cultural identity, and at the same time apply new farming and livestock models to develop the economy and sustainably reduce poverty in the locality.
From the story of the A-Thi Season, it can be seen that the "Beautiful Youth" Award, launched by TCP Vietnam in collaboration with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, has a wide influence in society. This is not only an award to honor individual achievements, but also a place to spread inspiring stories about the spirit of dedication, compassion and the desire to contribute to the community.
In 2025, the award will continue to recognize 20 outstanding faces in many fields - from teaching, culture - arts, to production labor, volunteering and fighting to protect the Fatherland.
