Present moment

The habit of going on business trips many times made her always remember what she needed to bring. To be sure, she still took notes on her computer, the night before leaving, she left everything on the bed to check one last time, to see if she had left anything behind. Especially her passport, and necessary medicines.

She is a careful and thoughtful person, so she never forgets anything important for each trip. But every single trip, she always feels a little nervous and worried before boarding the plane. You say she is a worrier and a thinker. It is true, she always reminisces about the past and this is what tires her the most. Sometimes, during work hours, when she encounters a difficult problem, she thinks about her sister, the person who always gave her useful and sincere advice, but now she has gone to paradise.

One day, while eating with the group, she suddenly became absent-minded. When her friend asked, she saw the Hue pancakes that had just been brought out. She remembered the first time she met her lover and was invited to eat this dish. Or the time she went to Sa Pa, when she stepped onto Cau May, the famous bridge that spans the poetic Muong Hoa stream flowing down from the valley, she said she remembered the time she went out with her second lover.

The feeling of floating on the bridge, nervous and afraid of falling, so she held his hand tightly; when crossing the bridge, she still did not let go. Her friend said that she often reminisces and worries about the future so she cannot live fully in the present moment. Just 5 minutes of her reminiscing about the past or worrying about the future is enough to lose 5 minutes of the present. And the past is the past, the future is not yet here.

She admitted that it was bad, but she was used to it and couldn't get those thoughts out of her head. Sometimes she had headaches because there were too many voices in her head.

One day, she became seriously ill and weak. The doctor said it was because she thought too much.

Lying in bed for weeks, she was advised by a roommate: You can think about the past or the future, as long as you are happy. But remember to live in the present because only the present has meaning, when you cannot turn back the wheel of time to return to the past or rush to the future. For me, the immediate task is to call my son and tell him to take my mother to the hospital, she can still go out, otherwise she will die of illness or sadness here.
