According to Cua Lo ward, storm No. 10 damaged nearly 1,000 square meters of Binh Minh Square. Natural disasters also caused damage to many schools, power systems and tourism service establishments in the area.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province, storm No. 10 damaged 10 works, headquarters and relic sites directly managed by the department, causing the roofs to be blown off, while localities reported that 17 cultural works and 16 historical relics - scenic spots were severely affected. According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh province, at Thien Cam Tourist Area, more than 180 trees were uprooted, a series of signs, railings, rescue hutes, electric poles, and decorative lamps were broken; many restaurants and hotels had their roofs blown off, their glass broken, and equipment damaged, with total estimated damage of about 7 billion VND.
At Xuan Thanh Beach Tourist Area, 90% of trees were broken, 16 restaurants had their roofs blown off, Hoa Tien Paradise resort had 15 villas that collapsed, the golf course and Muong Thanh Hotel were severely damaged.
In Loc Ha, 12 coastal accommodation establishments had their roofs blown off, with a total damage of more than 2 billion VND. In addition, Thach Hai tourist area and many large hotels in Ha Tinh city such as Vinpearl, Egle, Ben Xua... also had damaged roof systems, glass doors, and landscape.
Currently, localities are urgently reviewing and counting damage, supporting tourism businesses to overcome the consequences, beautifying the landscape, replanting trees, and restoring check-in points. The Department also requires tourism businesses to proactively reinforce and reinforce works, not take visitors to affected sea areas, and at the same time set up a safety warning system during the rainy and stormy season.
In Quang Tri province, due to the impact of storm No. 10 (Bualoi), on October 3, the family of General Vo Nguyen Giap announced the temporary closure of the General's tomb in Vung Chua - Yen Island to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. After more than a week of urgent cleaning, by October 12, the repair work was completed, the cemetery was guaranteed safety to reopen to people and tourists from October 13.
In Thanh Hoa, after storm No. 10, many tourist attractions were severely damaged. Strong winds and big waves have pushed a huge amount of sand, estimated at tens of thousands of cubic meters, from the overflowing beach to cover the coastal road of Xuan Huong Lake (Sam Son Ward).
According to the representative of the Sam Son Ward People's Committee, immediately after the storm, the locality mobilized youth union members, farmers' association members, women, militia, Environment Company and people to participate in cleaning up and overcoming the consequences. In particular, focusing on returning the volume of sand spilled onto the road adjacent to Xuan Huong Lake.
The authorities also organized the collection and transportation of household waste and fallen trees caused by the storm to the gathering point for treatment. According to statistics, about 1,400m3 of garbage has been collected, of which 500m3 is in residential areas, streets and 900m3 is in the beach area.
At Hai Tien beach tourism area (Hoang Tien commune), a large amount of firewood, wood and garbage overflowed the sandbank. Nearly 2km of the embankment in this area is damaged, sunken, and severely broken.
"Given the above situation, the commune has issued a written report, asking for opinions from the Department of Agriculture and Environment to soon have a direction to handle the amount of firewood, wood and garbage overflowing the beach after storm No. 10" - said a representative of the People's Committee of Hoang Tien commune.
