Recently, Mr. Le Thanh Do - Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee has just signed a decision on issuing an order to build an emergency project on natural disasters to respond to and overcome damage to road traffic infrastructure on local routes (due to the impact of rains from July 18 to July 28 and from July 31 to August 2, 2025).
The total investment cost for the project is 47.055 billion VND. Capital from support funds from the Central Government and Bac Ninh province to overcome the consequences of floods; funding for road economic activities and other legal capital sources.
The Department of Construction of Dien Bien province was assigned as the investor. The construction time is expected to be in 2025.
The project will be implemented on the routes of the communes of Xa Dung, Na Son, Tia Dinh, Muong Luan, Phinh Giang and Muong Lan.
Specifically, the routes that were severely affected include: Provincial Road DT.139; DT.139C, DT.146; Na Son - Kop Ly road; route from Km262+100/National Highway 12 (pa Van) to the center of Tia Dinh commune (old); route from Km250+030/National Highway 12 (old Phi Nhu intersection) to the center of Xa Dung commune (old) - Km21+900/DT.146 (from Phi Nhu intersection to the center of the new Xa Dung commune); route from Km246+400/National Highway 12 (suoi Lu bridge) to Suoi Lu villages 1,2,3.
The project aims to repair and restore road traffic works damaged by natural disasters, specifically: landslides on negative slopes and road shoulders; landslides on positive slopes; repairing and restoring damaged areas of roadbeds, road surfaces, drainage ditches; damaged sewers...
The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Construction to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to organize and implement further work to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
