On the evening of August 20, Kim Tae Hee officially appeared on tvN's variety show "You Quiz on the Block". In the broadcast episode, the actress shared about her love story with her husband Bi Rain and raising children.
MC Yoo Jae Suk mentioned that Bi Rain once said he decided to get married at the moment he saw Kim Tae Hee generously serving food and taking care of her manager at an advertising shoot, where they first met. Bi Rain thought secretly: "This is the last chance God gives me".
But for Kim Tae Hee, she believes that neither she nor Bi Rain are first-instance love.
I recognize him as a famous, hard-working actor and singer, so I think he is great. But not just seeing it means being in love. It took a while for that moment to come, the actress recalled her first meeting with her husband.
Kim Tae Hee revealed how Bi Rain conquered her heart: He gave me gifts that did not create a heavy feeling like scented candles, a MP3 with available songs, or a novel.
At first, I didn't care, but suddenly one day when I was in a confusion, I opened the book and saw the handwritten letters he had written tightly on the front page. The content is nothing special, but when I felt tired, it made me laugh. That was what completely melted me.
The actress added that before that, she was the one who only received messages from Bi Rain but had never proactively contacted him, because she was worried that Rain might misunderstand him while she was not really interested in him. But after reading the handwritten letters in the book, for the first time, she texted him in advance.
When the MC mentioned Bi Rain's on- air speech that he lived at home like a dried leaf, Kim Tae Hee burst out laughing and denied: Thats not true. My husband is a strong-willed person, he just says that to maintain his image. At home, he lives comfortably and is very active.
After that, Kim Tae Hee shared about the pressures of raising children. She admitted: " raising children is more difficult than giving birth".
The actress shed tears when sharing: "I was very stressed raising my children, but now they are much older, so I am more comfortable."
She said that after becoming a mother, she understood her biological mother better. She apologized to her mother for being uncomfortable and tormenting her when she could not control her emotions.
When asked what kind of father Bi Rain is to her two daughters, is she always the one who meets all of her children's requirements? Kim Tae Hee confirmed: "That's right. My husband knows how to maintain his image. He always buys gifts and snacks for the children. I want my children to eat as healthy as possible and reduce snacking, but my husband doesn't like that."
