During the hot weather of the last days of August, the working atmosphere at the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line construction site became even more exciting.
The steel pillars rising high in the mountains and forests, the sound of welding machines, the sound of drilling and cutting symbolises the will and great determination of thousands of engineers and workers who are stuck day and night.

The most difficult and complicated construction locations of package 1 such as VT04 pillar are being assembled by workers and engineers to complete the final steel bars to complete the pillar body and prepare specialized equipment and means to be ready for cable stretching and pulling.
The service road from the foot of the hill to the construction site is deeply repeated with the chain reaction of excavators and cranes. Previously, workers had to use 2 excavators to "pull" the 120-ton crane down the slope to the construction site.

According to Lao Dong, at the locations of poles from 100 to 113 through Khanh Hoa commune, Lao Cai province, many workers are preparing machinery and equipment to pull the rope.
Each team has a task, people climb to the top of the pillar to install porcelain firmly on the barges. A team installs a rope support scaffolding that does not affect traffic safety. The remaining workers were divided into two groups of up to two pillars to bring the hay ropes to the top of the pillars.
After nearly 1 hour of preparation, theprey rope was at the top of the pole, the 5-ton excavator, connected to a 12-horsepower diesel, began to lift the rope.
Pulling up the rope requires good coordination, because each person is in a position several dozen meters apart, so everyone uses a walkie-talkie to discuss.

Mr. Vu Quang Chien (Lam Dong power transmission team, Power Transmission Company 3), who has 10 years of experience in pulling wires, moves the hand to connect power wires and match wires. After connecting, he signaled to the driver of the winch to pull the wire. Immediately, the winch was accelerated to lift the rope to the necessary position.
Each coil of electric wire is more than 2km long, weighing nearly 5 tons, if the wire is not spread well, leaving it crossed together will cost the whole day to remove. To stretch ropes and hang ropes to the top of a pole, it requires experienced people and the use of a winch.

According to the workers, spreading 500kV wires and pulling them across rivers and mountains is a difficult period for the electricity industry, this job requires workers to have flexible health and experience to do it.
"First of all, the electrician will spread ropes along the road, connecting from the top of one pole to the other to make a bidding line. This bidding cable was then stretched to the pillar and then tied to a 500kV power cable to pull it up.
When the wire was removed to the necessary location, 2 workers were waiting to do the task of locating the wire in the porous insulation to securely insulate the electricity. At this time, the worker has completed his work...", Mr. Chien shared.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung - Director of Hung Phu Thinh Power Construction Company said that contractors are currently mobilizing maximum forces, focusing on completing the installation of poles while the power transmission unit is transporting wires and cables to the locations.
As soon as the pole erection was completed, the construction unit coordinated with the army to run ropes to connect the poles in time for the power outage on September 2.
The 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen Line project has a total length of nearly 230 km, passing through the two provinces of Lao Cai and Phu Tho, with a total investment of more than VND 7,410 billion.
A team of workers and engineers from all over have met here, they are "eating mountains, sleeping in the forest" working "3 shifts, 4 teams" overcoming all difficulties to strive to complete the project on schedule.
