According to the plan of the Vietnam Cinema Association, the 2026 Vietnam Cinema Day Ceremony was held in Ho Chi Minh City on March 7, 2026 and will take place in Hanoi on March 15, 2026.
The event aims to review the tradition of Vietnamese revolutionary cinema and strengthen connections between artists and members of the industry. Before the opening ceremony of the anniversary, the Organizing Committee will screen the documentary "Hero Cinema" about the tradition of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Cinema industry.

Within the framework of the program, a signing ceremony was also held for the cooperation program to organize the Golden Kite Awards in the period 2026 - 2030 between the Vietnam Cinema Association and Amazing Talent Entertainment Investment Joint Stock Company.
The Vietnam Cinema Association will award the Medal "For the Cause of Cinema" to artists and members who have 20 years of association. At the same time, the association will announce the decision to reward outstanding members in 2025 and the decision to admit new members.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Film Institute also organized free screenings of 3 films to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnamese Cinema industry, from March 11th to March 13th, at Ngoc Khanh Cinema, Hanoi. This activity aims to honor the historical and artistic values of Vietnamese cinema through the periods.
The works selected for screening include "Vùng trời" (1973) by director Huy Thanh, "Hy vọng cuối cùng" (1981) by director Tran Phuong and "Gánh xiếc rong" (1989) by director Viet Linh.
