The event was held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2, and the 78th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day, in Hanoi to express our deep gratitude to the officers and soldiers who died for national independence and peace today.
The exhibition is also an emotional opening for the feature film project "Red Rain" - a work recreating the glorious historical days of Quang Tri ancient citadel in 1972,
With 40 artistic photos selected during the production of the film "RED RAIN"; the exhibition recorded realistic moments, including images from the set, emotional scenes, and tabletop models recreating the space of Quang Tri ancient citadel. Behind each frame are the sweat, tears and even the steel spirit of the filmmakers.
According to the records, each photo conveys and expresses the spirit of bravery, fighting spirit, and heroic spirit of the soldiers in an unforgettable period of history.
The feature film "Red Rain" is adapted from the literary novel of the same name released in 2016 by writer Chu Lai. Set in the ancient citadel of Quang Tri, the film recreates the fierce 81-day and night battle here.
Quang Tri ancient citadel, which suffered hundreds of thousands of tons of bombs and bullets, thousands of soldiers fell into the place of "deep roaring, wet soil, blood mixed in the rain".
Writer Chu Lai - author of the novel "Red Rain", who is also an artistic consultant for the film, said: "Blood rain creates peace". This is also the encompassing spirit of the exhibition: art is not only for admiration, but for absorption, for memory.
The exhibition does not stop at telling a war story. That is a humane message to the younger generation, those born in peacetime. They need to be reminded that today's independence is not natural, but the price exchanged for an entire generation.
The film is scheduled to premiere on August 22, 2025 and officially air on September 2, 2025, "Red Rain" promises to not only be a movie, but also footage that returns to history with passionate, emotional and proud slices.
