"Would You Marry Me?" is a romantic comedy about Yoo Mary (Jung So Min) - a young female CEO who is having trouble after her future husband cheated and canceled her marriage. She accidentally won the award for a luxurious bride's house, but to receive the gift, the prerequisite was to be "a newlywed couple".
Therefore, she proposed a fake marriage for 90 days with Kim Woo Joo (Choi Woo Sik) - the heir to the oldest bakery in Korea - who also had the same name as her ex-fiance. From an implemented agreement, the two gradually developed real feelings.
Regarding the reason for choosing to participate in the film, Jung So Min was excited to have the opportunity to work with both director Song Hyun Wook and actor Choi Woo Sik.
I am a fan of the movie Another Miss Oh so I am very curious about collaborating with director Song Hyun Wook. And when I heard that Choi Woo Sik - the actor I always wanted to work with would be my co-star, I was sure the filming process would be very interesting, the actress said.
Having acted in many romantic comedies, especially with the theme "pre-marriage, then-lover" Jung So Min also transformed in the movie "First Life", so with "Would You Marry Me", the female star wanted to show a new side of herself, different from previous roles.
Both on the outside and on the inside, I wanted to be Yoo Mary. I even imagined Yoo Mary's life outside of scripts and writing diaries. I wanted to master the character's locality, so I came to live in Yoo Mary's hometown.
Revealing about the two co-stars who act together, Choi Woo Sik (as a fake husband), and Seo Bum June (as an ex-fiance), Jung So Min said that right from the first filming, her and Choi Woo Sik's "chemistry" exceeded expectations.
Woo Sik is always humorous and lively, so every time we are together, I cant laugh. Bum June is gentle, kind and mature. Because June has an older sister and I have a younger brother, we quickly became close. But honestly, my younger brother is not as good as Bum June.
Regarding expectations for the new romantic comedy, Jung So Min hopes that the cooperation of the cast will bring the audience interesting footage. For me, Would You Marry Me is a drama that everyone can watch and laugh at. I hope the work will help you escape the fatigue of everyday life.
Would You Marry Me is scheduled to air on the evening of October 10.
