Lao Cai invests 14.6 billion VND to renovate Than Temple

Lao Cai - The project to repair and restore Than Temple in Yen Binh commune has just been approved for implementation, contributing to preserving cultural heritage and developing tourism.

On June 26, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee informed that the province has just issued Decision No. 6496/QD-UBND, allowing Yen Binh Commune People's Committee to implement the project to repair and restore the provincial-level historical and cultural relic Temple of Lang Than with socialized capital.

The project is implemented to preserve and promote the value of historical, cultural, religious and architectural works that have been ranked by the State.

Thereby completing infrastructure to serve the management, protection and exploitation of relics, meeting the needs of religious activities and sightseeing of people and tourists, contributing to promoting tourism and socio-economic development in the locality.

According to the decision, the project is implemented on a land area of 6,465m2. In which, the construction area of architectural works is about 570m2, including main items such as the main hall (main temple), Tam Quan gate, Ta Vu - Huu Vu house, reception house, offering house, votive paper tower and technical infrastructure system, landscape and auxiliary works.

The total estimated investment of the project is 14.6 billion VND, mobilized from socialized capital and other legal capital sources.

According to the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Yen Binh Commune People's Committee is responsible for organizing the implementation of the project to ensure compliance with the provisions of law on cultural heritage, beliefs, planning, construction, land and related regulations.

At the same time, localities must manage and use capital for the right purpose, economically and effectively; coordinate with specialized agencies to review the scale and total investment level in accordance with actual conditions, ensuring investment efficiency.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Construction, the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Department of Finance are assigned to coordinate and guide Yen Binh Commune People's Committee to implement the project in accordance with current regulations.
