The movie "Flip Side 8" by Ly Hai - Minh Ha couple by the evening of May 2 had surpassed 115 billion VND. The male director said that he was willing to accept all compliments and criticisms.

The work "Flip Side 8" began a special screening on April 27, 28, and 29 and officially premiered on April 30.

As of the evening of May 2, Box Office Vietnam recorded that the film had surpassed the 115 billion VND mark. Currently, this film is also temporarily at the top of the Vietnamese box office revenue.

If we compare the achievements of "Flip Side 8" with "Flip Side 7", Ly Hai's new project has a lower ticket sales rate. However, currently, Ly Hai's film "Flip Side 8" is still at the top of the Vietnamese box office, surpassing "Detective Kien".

However, recently, "Flip Side 8" by Ly Hai has received mixed opinions when it was released. Responding to an interview with Lao Dong reporter about many negative comments about the film, the male director said: "First of all, if there are conflicting and negative comments, I have to thank the audience for their comments.

However, I will return to screen again. What are the genuine comments of the audience, whether they are criticism or praise, what are the attacking comments? After that, I will learn from my experience if there are comments that I am not good at in my film to adjust to suit future projects".

The film " Lat mat 8: Vong tay nang" revolves around the character Tam (17 years old), who is passionate about music but is stopped by his strict father Phuoc (Long Dep Trai).

The conflicts of generations are truly exploited by Ly Hai, and then closed with a sun bracelet - a symbol of forgiveness, healing and love.

The film brings together a cast from veteran actors such as Meritorious Artist Kim Phuong, Meritorious Artist Huu Chau, Meritorious Artist Tuyet Thu, Meritorious Artist Chieu Xuan... to young actors such as Doan The Vinh, Hong Thu, Tin Nguyen, Bao Ngoc. The guest cast includes Trung Dung, Huy Khanh, Le Tuan Khang, Ta Lam...

Talking about the message conveyed through the film, Ly Hai expressed: "Everyone has a family with very different versions. Some people are supported, some are not. But the sacrifice of a father is always very silent, different from his mother. Therefore, I believe the film can touch the emotions of many generations of audiences".

"Flip Side 8" received mixed controversies when released in theaters. Some praise the family drama for being easy to watch and touching. However, others think that the film has many forced details, the theme is not new and easy to predict.

In response to mixed feedback from the audience, Ly Hai said he will record and improve in upcoming projects.

Ly Hai is very lucky to have been in the arts for more than 30 years, and is always loved and trusted by everyone. That is why I always cherish everyone's contribution. Each sharing is a motivation for me and the crew to continue to improve in the journey ahead, he wrote.

The male director of "Flip Side 8" shared more: "Making a film is a long journey that requires constant learning, change and acceptance. I thank everyone's comments as well as the newspapers, whether gentle or straightforward, because that proves that everyone still cares about and loves me.

The comments are valuable for me to improve my product. As each day passes, my team and I try to learn so that our children's spirit will become better and better, worthy of everyone's affection and trust."
