The opening program of the Binh Ngo Tet Book Street Festival 2026 at Le Loi street, Saigon ward, Ho Chi Minh City took place with the participation of leaders, consular representatives and researchers.

This year, the Binh Ngo Tet Book Street Festival 2026 with the theme "Spring Gathering - Steadfastly Rising" marks a new milestone in scale when the organized area reaches 13,635 m2, expanding to three locations: Saigon ward, Binh Duong ward and Vung Tau ward.
With core values aimed at opening spring with knowledge and starting the new year with new thinking, the festival transforms traditional spring travel experiences into a journey to cultivate sustainable spiritual values.
At the opening event, Mr. Tran The Thuan - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports said: "Through the festival, the city wishes to continue to arouse the love of books, encourage the habit of reading and learning throughout life; thereby contributing to building a learning society, improving the spiritual life of the people, creating a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the city".
The book street opening attracts a large number of people flocking to visit and shop. Ms. Tran Ngoc Nguyet Que (Cau Ong Lanh ward, Ho Chi Minh City) and her son really like the book street space this year, because it displays many precious and impressive books that she rarely gets to access.
Ms. Hoang Le Kim Huyen (Tan Dinh ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said that in addition to the diverse book space, her family is very impressed with the magnificent mascot "Binh Ngo vươn mình" placed right at the entrance to the book street.

The Binh Ngo 2026 Tet Book Street Festival takes place from February 15th to February 22nd (from December 28th to the 6th day of Tet). Within the framework of the event, people can participate in giving lucky money to books, reading digital books, audiobooks, experiencing meaningful book ATMs, or exploring the international book and cultural area.
