The 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival, 2025 with the Opening and Closing locations at Ariyana International Convention Palace from June 29 to July 5.
After two successful tournaments, the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival, 2025 with the theme "DANAFF - Asian Rapid Bridge", returns with a new step forward in terms of scale and artistic quality. The event was directed by the People's Committee of Da Nang City, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Vietnam Cinema Development Promotion Association (VFDA).
This year, DANAFF III has made outstanding progress in terms of scale, organization time and program content with many new highlights such as: Vietnam War films for half a century program; Korean cinema focal program; Project nursery.
In particular, it is noteworthy the launch of the Asian Cinema Overview program - selecting outstanding and successful Asian films at international film festivals in the past year, along with films selected by DANAFF for their first premiere and the appearance of the Asian Film Critic Award.
The film screening program with 106 films and 184 screenings at theaters, free screening of films in the film category of the competition, Asian Film Awards category: including 14 films with feature length (over 80 minutes) from the cinemas of the Asia - Pacific region presented by domestic and foreign film organizations.
DFFANA III's awards include the Asian Film Awards category, which is decided by the Asian Film Jury. The category of the Vietnam Film Awards will be decided by the Vietnam Film Jury.
In addition, film lovers also have the opportunity to meet and chat directly with famous domestic and foreign filmmakers and actors; especially with the participation of Korean actors Ji Chang-wook, Ji Seung-hyun, Park Sung-woong, Moon So-ri.
Speaking at the press conference in Da Nang, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee - said that with more than 100 films participating and many new and attractive activities such as the Film Project Market, Impressive Scene Exhibition in Da Nang, Korean Film Scene... Da Nang is proud to once again be chosen as a meeting place for cinema lovers.
"We believe this will be an opportunity for Vietnamese cinema as well as Da Nang to have more voice on the regional and world cinema map," Ms. Thi emphasized.
