According to the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Danang Asian Film Festival (Dafro), Moon So Ri - a veteran actress in Korean cinema, who played the main role in the hit film "When Life Is for You" - will return to Da Nang to attend the 3rd Danang Asian Film Festival.
First appearing at DANAFF 2023, Moon So Ri impressed with her deep demeanor and inspiring shares about Vietnamese cinema. This year, she not only came to interact with the audience but also accompanied her husband - director Jang Joon-hwan, Chairman of the Asian Film Jury to compete.
Moon So Ri is a typical face of Korean cinema with a series of art films such as A Good Lawyer's Wife, The Handmaiden, Three Sisters...
Standing out with the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best New Actor at the 59th Venice Film Festival (Italy) with the film Oasis, Moon So-ri continued to make her mark on the international stage with the Best Actress awards at the Seattle International Film Festival (USA) in 2003, the 14th Stockholm International Film Festival (Sweden) in 2003, and the 47th Thessaloniki Film Festival (Germany) in 2006.
In Korea, she was honored with a series of major awards such as the 23rd Blue Dragon Awards for Best New Actress (2002), the 24th Blue Dragon Awards for Best Actress (2003), the 2nd Korean Film Awards, the 4th Busan Film Critic Award, and the 10th Chunsa Film Arts Awards for Best Actress.
In addition, she also received the 41st Golden bell Award, the 1st Korean Film Festival, and the 19th Buil Film Award, both in the Best Actress category, affirming her leading position in the Korean film industry.
Her return contributes to creating an international look and artistic depth for DANAFF III, the event taking place from June 29 to July 5 in Da Nang City.
