According to Korean media, Lisa revealed her thoughts in an interview with American media agency The Wrap.
"The White Lotus Season 3" is a dark comedy that delicately depicts human desires and conflicts. The film is set in a beautiful resort.
The third part was filmed in Thailand, including locations in Koh Samui, Phuket and Bangkok, in which Lisa plays a health advisor at a resort called Mook. She has worked with Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul and Jason Isaacs.
Lisa said she wanted to challenge herself in a new field. And because it was a favorite film, she decided to audition with the thought of trying her hand at acting after taking on the role.
HBO's production team revealed that during the casting process in Thailand, the co-producer and casting director introduced Lisa. However, executive producer Dave Bernard and creator Mike White admitted that they did not know Lisa or Blackpink. Therefore, they conducted an audition with the same standards as any other actor.
Lisa explained, "I sent out my video and got a call back, then I went to meet Mike White and auditioned in front of him. After that, I received a call informing me that I had received the role. It's not easy." She continued to share: "It's a completely new world. I really like the filming process."
Dave Bernard praised Lisa's acting: "She was great. She surprised us.
He also expressed concern about Lisa being an international pop star and wondered if it would affect filming. However, Lisa was very professional in her role.
He shared: "her approach to the role is just as professional and dedicated as anyone else."
