On June 16, the "Kim Chi" film crew announced a full series of character photos. Originally just a regular promotional document update, but a detail made this topic quickly climb to the hot search top, when the order of female lead Ly Nhat Dong's name changed.
According to the latest documents, the part recording the main actors' names has been adjusted to: "Tran Tinh Huc - Ly Tuyet (Ly Nhat Dong)".
Meanwhile, in the first announcement in February, the introduction to the main actors wrote: "Tran Tuoc Nhi (Ly Nhat Dong) - Luc Hanh Chi (Tran Tinh Huc), no distinction in order", in which Ly Nhat Dong was placed in the front position.
This change has made Li Yitong the first artist to implement the new regulation on recording actors' names in television dramas, receiving much attention and positive reviews.
On June 12, three competent film and television associations in China jointly issued the "Notice on standardizing the recording of actors' names in television dramas and online dramas".
The announcement clearly stipulates that in a film, actors are only allowed to use 3 groups of titles: "main actor", "special participation" and "acting participation".
In the same group, the order of actors' names will no longer be arranged based on their position in the industry or popularity, but unified by the number of lines in their legal name; their names have fewer lines than in front, and more lines than behind.
If their strokes are the same, continue to compare the second and third letters until a unique order is determined.
Actors must use legal names, if using stage names, they must be recorded in the form "Real name (stage name)".
This regulation was announced to be applied from July 10, 2026, but right from June, the movie "Kim Chi" starring Ly Nhat Dong had real action.
Ly Nhat Dong's real name is Ly Tuyet, the number of lines in her last name is more than Tran Tinh Huc (using her real name), so the film crew proactively adjusted the appearance order of the two people according to new regulations.
At the same time, actors Vuong Hoang Nghi, Hoang Nghe and Luu Lam, who were previously also recorded as "main actors", are now changed to "specially participating". The "specially participating" list is also arranged according to the rules of number of lines in their names.
From the form of "no distinction in order" to "arrangement according to the number of lines of name"; from using stage names to writing real names (stage names); from arranging the positions of main actors to standardizing the list of "special participants" - all details implemented by the "Kim Chi" film crew are closely following the requirements of the new regulations.
In the context of frequent controversy about "position" (actor ranking) in the entertainment industry, Ly Nhat Dong's proactive change in the name order this time has helped her score points in the public eye.
According to Chinese media, Li Yitong not only showed respect for regulations but also created a role model in the industry.
