According to Star News, during the March 7 hearing on ADOR's request to maintain management company status and prohibit NewJeans members from signing independent advertising contracts, the company refuted the reasons given by NewJeans to terminate the contract.
Previously, NewJeans announced the termination of the contract with ADOR because the company had not fulfilled its contractual obligations. NewJeans has produced a lot of evidence of discrimination and ADOR's inability to protect the group, suggesting that the trust between them and the company has been completely broken.
However, ADOR's legal representative argued that there is no legitimate reason to terminate the contract and that the exclusive contract is still valid until 2029.
ADOR stated: The essential obligations of an exclusive contract are to provide opportunities for entertainment activities and make profits.
ADOR has fulfilled these obligations, which is why NewJeans has become a global star. Each member received a payment of 5 billion won (about 87.8 billion VND).
ADOR also emphasized, HYBE has invested 21 billion won (more than 370 billion VND) in NewJeans and no company has acted foolishly by discriminating or undermining a group like that.
NewJeans' statements contrast objective truth, mainly based on speculation and hypothetics. You can't terminate your exclusive contract based on speculation."

However, at the end of the trial, the NewJeans members all expressed their intention not to return to work with the company.
Haerin member shared: I felt helpless when ADOR was silent about HYBE and its subsidiaries continuously undermining their achievements and undermining the groups image.
We signed a contract with ADOR to be protected, but the company only said that they couldnt do anything because they were afraid of conflict with HYBE. They also promised to find us a new producer, but in reality it was unlikely.
Danielle and Hyein both expressed their desire to "continue working with former CEO Min Hee Jin," who was also the group's former head producer.
After announcing the termination of their contract with ADOR from November 29, 2024, 5 NewJeans members (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) announced that they will work under the new group name, NJZ in February this year.
NJZ has submitted a trademark registration application, creating an official account on social networking platforms Instagram, X/ Twitter, Tiktok and YouTube.
They posted a video revealing their new music product, scheduled to be released on March 23 at a music festival in Hong Kong (China).
