Amidst the bustling atmosphere of the days leading up to Tet, when crowds flocked to fireworks display locations to enjoy the moment of New Year's transition, actress Thu Quynh surprised everyone by sharing about a habit of "reversing the tide" for many years.
Although born and raised right in Hanoi - a place famous for brilliant fireworks displays by Hoan Kiem Lake, Thu Quynh revealed that she has never had the habit of watching fireworks on New Year's Eve.
Different from the dynamism and outward orientation on screen, Thu Quynh in real life is a woman who cherishes traditional values and the warmth of the family. Sharing with Lao Dong reporters about Tet habits, Thu Quynh said: "Although in the old days, when I was young and had no boyfriend, I never celebrated New Year's Eve outside. I always stayed at home with my parents, in the old days there were grandparents".
Even at the most dreamy age, instead of blending into the bustling crowd, the actress chooses to stay in her familiar house, performing rituals with relatives, eating year-end meals and giving each other New Year's greetings in the moment of New Year's Eve.
After having her own home and becoming a mother of two children, Thu Quynh is still steadfast in this choice. She does not want her children to be tired of jostling, dust or noise; instead, she wants to create a peaceful space for her children to feel the sacred connection between the members.
The actress confided: "Currently, I try to maintain that family habit, so my 2 children are also like that, not celebrating New Year's Eve outside.
At the moment of New Year's Eve, Thu Quynh wishes to be a complete moment together for family members.
