Although there is still a month until the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026, these days the atmosphere of preparing to welcome the new year has spread throughout the central streets of Ho Chi Minh City. At public places and commercial centers, brilliantly decorated miniatures are becoming the focus attracting people to stop, admire and record early spring images.
According to reporters' records, the rhythm of life in the Le Duan street area (Saigon ward) has become fresher thanks to the elaborately invested miniature landscape clusters. At Diamond Plaza, the red color of lanterns and the yellow color of apricot blossoms have changed the facade of the building, creating a nostalgic space for the old Tet. Although it is not a holiday, the number of people flocking here is still quite large, mainly families with young children and young people taking advantage of the leisurely time at the beginning of the week to avoid crowded scenes.
Just adjusting the ao dai for her young daughter, Ms. Nguyen Nhu Quynh (resident of Ho Chi Minh City) said that taking photos on weekdays helps her family have more satisfactory and comfortable frames. “Although busy with work, seeing the streets lit up and Tet decorations are so beautiful, I took the opportunity to take my child out to play. The feeling of seeing apricot blossoms and peach blossoms early like this makes my work spirit in the last days of the year even more excited,” Ms. Quynh shared.

At Ben Thanh market, the spring atmosphere has also touched the door with the dressed ao dai of groups of young people. From early morning, the area in front of the market gate has been bustling with passersby. Instead of waiting for the busy days near Tet, many young people have chosen this time to take commemorative photos. The combination of traditional costumes and the space imbued with the historical imprint of the city creates an irresistible attraction for those who love the beauty of Vietnamese culture.

As one of the people who arrived early to film, Tran Ngoc Anh (a student in Ho Chi Minh City) shared the reason for choosing the first day of the week to go down the street: "Going on Monday like this will easily find quiet shooting angles and leisurely pose more. I want to record the characteristics of Ho Chi Minh City in the days of preparing to transform into the new year of Binh Ngo".

A new highlight in this year's "check-in" map in Ho Chi Minh City is the space next to Ba Son station of Metro Line 1. A miniature landscape area imbued with Southern garden features with a monkey bridge and brilliant flower streets has been erected, bringing a breath of fresh air to the urban landscape. The intersection between a modern traffic project and the rustic charm of the homeland makes this area particularly attractive to people in the late afternoons when the sun has set.

The Tet atmosphere has been and is spreading, creating an energetic appearance for Ho Chi Minh City in the early days of 2026. The graceful ao dai, the radiant smiles next to peach blossoms and apricot blossoms not only embellish the city but also send faith in a smooth and hopeful new year of Binh Ngo.
