On April 21, South Korean media reported that the first trial of Song Mino took place at the Western Seoul District Court.
The male singer was prosecuted for allegedly violating the Law on Military Service during his service as a community employee, along with a manager at the facility being tried for allegedly assisting in neglecting duties.
At court, Song Mino admitted most of the charges and repeatedly bowed his head to apologize, saying he felt remorseful for not fully fulfilling his national defense obligations.
The male singer also mentioned his mental health condition but affirmed that he did not see this as a justification, and expressed his desire to overcome his mistakes if there is an opportunity.

According to the indictment, the male singer was suspected of not complying with working regulations from March 2023 to December 2024, and was frequently absent during service. The prosecution is currently proposing a sentence of 1 year and 6 months in prison for the male singer.
