On May 30, information from the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee had just issued a plan to propagate and celebrate the 130th birthday of Comrade Ho Tung Mau.
The organization of activities aims to honor and express gratitude for the great contributions of Comrade Ho Tung Mau to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation; and at the same time affirm the role of typical predecessors of the Party in the cause of national liberation, construction and defense of the Fatherland.

According to the plan, propaganda activities and celebrations of the 130th birthday of Comrade Ho Tung Mau will be organized in Nghe An province, focusing on activities in the comrade's hometown.
One of the main contents is to organize a ceremony to offer incense and flowers associated with the inauguration of the project to repair and restore the relic of the church and the tomb of comrade Ho Tung Mau at the Ho Tung Mau Memorial House (Quynh Anh commune, Nghe An province). The expected time of organization is on the morning of June 15, 2026.
Nghe An will also coordinate to organize a scientific conference to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Comrade Ho Tung Mau's birth; coordinate to supplement new documents, and build a documentary film about Comrade Ho Tung Mau.
In addition, the province organizes propaganda and widespread education activities among cadres, party members, union members, association members and people of all strata about the life, revolutionary cause, merits, contributions and revolutionary moral example of Comrade Ho Tung Mau.
Propaganda forms include speaker conferences, press briefings, Party cell meetings, thematic meetings, regular meetings of socio-political organizations; propaganda in newspapers, portals/electronic information pages, internet, social networks; visual propaganda, panels, posters, banners, slogans; traditional talks, displays of documents, images, knowledge contests, activities about sources, culture, arts, physical education, sports.
Nghe An Provincial Party Committee requests that commemorative activities be organized solemnly, practically, and effectively, creating a widespread impact among cadres, party members and people; thereby contributing to fostering revolutionary traditions, consolidating belief, and arousing aspirations to develop Nghe An homeland in the new period.
Comrade Ho Tung Mau, birth name Ho Ba Cu, was born on June 15, 1896 in Quynh Doi village, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province; now Quynh Anh commune, Nghe An province.
He was one of the typical revolutionary predecessors of the Party, a close associate of Nguyen Ai Quoc in the process of preparing politically, ideologically and organizationally for the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
During his activities, Comrade Ho Tung Mau participated in organizing political training classes in Guangzhou, China, contributing to training cadres, building forces and mobilizing the unification of communist organizations before the Vietnamese Communist Party was born.
After the August Revolution, he was assigned many important responsibilities such as in charge of the Military-Political School, Chairman of the Resistance Committee of Inter-zone IV, Chairman of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association and held the position of Inspector General of the Government from 1949.
On July 23, 1951, comrade Ho Tung Mau sacrificed himself while on his way to Interzone IV for work.
