Artist Cong Tai passed away at the age of 72 due to cancer

    Actor Bui Cong Danh said that his father, artist Cong Tai, passed away at the age of 72, on the evening of July 16.

    Artist Cong Tai passed away at his home, due to terminal liver cancer. He enjoyed a lifetime of 72.

    Actor Bui Cong Danh said that his father was diagnosed with liver cancer in November 2024.

    According to information from relatives, artist Cong Tai's funeral was held at his private home in Ho Chi Minh City.

    The memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on July 19, 2025, after which the coffin will be cremated at Da Phuoc Cemetery.

    Artist Cong Tai, real name Bui Hoang Hon, born in 1954, is known to the audience through his plays at Tran Huu Trang Theater. He is associated with the role of a gentle, kind father and uncle. He has acted in many plays such as Hon Nuoc Than Nu Cuoi, Tinh Yeu Bao, Quyet Canh Nam, Thap Nhat Duong...

    His son, actor Bui Cong Danh, is also a familiar face on stage. He won the championship of the Star Inheriting Championship contest.
