According to updates from Box Office Vietnam on the morning of June 2nd, the movie "Infernal Beauty Salon" starring Ngoc Trinh only has 1 screening left, with the risk of leaving theaters soon.
Previously, according to data from Box Office, Ngoc Trinh's movie fell into a gloomy situation, unsold tickets after 3 weeks of release. The movie has 3 more screenings but no tickets have been sold.
After its release, the accumulated revenue of "The Underworld Beauty Salon" only reached about 12.66 billion VND. This figure shows that the film is gradually losing momentum at the box office in the context of the increasingly fierce box office race.
Notably, in the midst of Vietnamese horror films continuously recording works that achieved revenue of tens to hundreds of billions of VND in the past few years, the achievement of more than 12 billion VND of "The Underworld Beauty Salon" is considered quite modest and has not met expectations.

The 100-minute work revolves around Thanh (Ngoc Trinh), a young doctor who accepts working at a mysterious beauty salon to have money to save her lover who is in a coma.
However, from the early days, she continuously faced strange phenomena and gradually discovered the scary secrets hidden behind the appearance of this facility.
In the early stages of release, the film once appeared in the group of leading daily revenue works and held more than 10% of the box office market share. However, ticket sales performance did not maintain the expected momentum, causing revenue to quickly stagnate.
Besides market factors, content quality has also become a controversial topic. Many opinions say that the script lacks highlights, the film's plot is lengthy, disjointed and too dependent on scary situations instead of building a depth story.
Some details were commented as unconvincing, while the acting of the main cast, including Ngoc Trinh and Xuan Lan, has not created a clear impression.
In addition, viewers also pointed out many technical errors and unreasonable details such as dialogue not matching the sentence or characters always keeping thick makeup regardless of the circumstances.
