According to initial information, at about 10 am on June 2nd, a fire broke out at a plastic production workshop in Hoai Duc commune. Images recorded by people at the scene showed black smoke from the burnt workshop rising high and spreading.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area No. 23 - Fire and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police dispatched officers, soldiers and vehicles to the scene urgently to deploy fire fighting work.
Faced with the complicated situation of the fire, Firefighting and Rescue Teams of areas No. 16 and 17 continued to be mobilized to support and coordinate to control the fire.
Because the workshop contained many flammable materials, functional forces mobilized additional excavators to support demolition, creating access roads to the fire points and preventing the fire from spreading.
After firefighting efforts, at about 11:30 am on the same day, the fire was basically under control. Functional forces continued to spray water to cool down and treat embers to prevent the risk of fire returning.
Initial verification shows that the fire did not cause any casualties. The cause and damage are being investigated and statistically determined by functional agencies.
