The early reign of Nguyen Hien was born in the year of At Mui (1235). a native of Duong Mien village, Thuong Hien district, formerly Thien Truong province, now Duong A village, Nam Thang commune, Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province. He passed the entrance exam at the age of 13, becoming the youngest in the history of the Vietnamese department.
On the 14th of August (lunar calendar) of the year At Tao (1255), the original Nguyen Hien passed away. The people of his hometown respectfully built a temple to worship him on the foundation of his family's old house in Duong A village, Nam Thang commune.


The original Nguyen Hien Trang Temple, also known as Quan Trang Temple, was recognized as a National Historical and Cultural Relic in 1994. This relic still preserves the song, many royal decrees, parallel sentences, and great praises to the lao lao of the Nguyen Hien Prime Minister.
Today, Quan Trang Temple is located right in the middle of Duong A village, facing the Southwest, with the architectural model "Tien Thuong Nhat, hau Thuong Dinh". In front of the temple is a lotus pond, surrounded by many ancient trees with wide leaves covering the shade.
The front hall was renovated at the end of the Nguyen Dynasty and in 2018 had 5 compartments, 2 bades, 6 such as a gate and 4 rows of ironwood columns. The second row has 3 compartments, the wooden door system has a sturdy rotation. The door in the middle has 6 wings carved with a set of four-quarters paintings "one, two, three, five, five", the middle is the image of the two-color dragon and the moon. The palace has 2 compartments, the roof is shared with the second palace. In the main palace, there is a throne and a prop to worship the original Nguyen Hien Prime Minister.


Mr. Pham Xuan Hinh - Management Board of Nguyen Hien Primeval Temple of Literature said that this is an ancient temple associated with history, spiritual life, and the tradition of studiousness of local people. During the two resistance wars of the nation, Quan Trang temple was also a place to store documents, and was used as a secret tunnel to protect revolutionary cadres. The temple is also a place to go to a gathering place for soldiers and guards, and a communication unit of the two provinces of Nam Dinh and Thai Binh.
After many years of being devastated by natural disasters and war, the Quan Trang temple relic is still there, has been renovated and upgraded many times and is preserved and maintained by local people.
The Nguyen Hien Primeval Trang Temple Festival is held annually from the 14th to the 16th of the 8th lunar month. This is an opportunity for all classes of people in Southern Europe and tourists from all over to burn incense in memory to express gratitude to the Nguyen Hien Prime Minister. At the same time, organize many activities to learn about the values of the tradition of studiousness, respect for teachers and arouse and educate the younger generation to be proud, the will to overcome difficulties and be studious.
