1,000-year-old ancient village
About 20km from Nam Dinh City, Dich Diep ancient village (also known as Dich Diep Trang) has the ancient beauty of a Vietnamese countryside.
Dich Diep village was formed around the beginning of the 11th century under the reign of King Ly Thai To with the name Dich Diep Trang. This is the land downstream of the Red River, in Tay Chan district of Tran Son Nam, later Phu Thien Truong. After the harshness of time, this land has been kept the same name and has become a village of Truc Chinh commune, Truc Ninh district, Nam Dinh province now.

Today, when coming to Dich Diep Trang, from the main road leading to the village, you can see the space of the traditional Northern countryside with: temple, pagoda, banyan tree, plantain, well... Then follow the village road, visitors will be able to relax in the midst of a pure Vietnamese countryside with ancient hidden houses under shaded ancient tree canopy.
Dong Que Museum
Also a rural destination in Nam Dinh, the Dong Quoc Museum is located in Giao Thinh Commune, Giao Thuy District, founded by Teacher Ngo Thi Khieu and her husband, Major General Hoang Kien. This place also preserves ancient houses, agricultural tools related to agricultural production, marine crafts, household tools, appliances... left by our ancestors.


The Kong Co Museum is about 6,000m2 wide, organized with an outdoor exhibition area, an indoor exhibition area and a rural culinary culture area. This is one of the largest private museums in the country, and also the first museum displaying artifacts about the countryside in Vietnam.
Bach Long Salt fields
The salt field of Bach Long commune (Giao Thuy district) is a destination to experience the traditional salt making process, implemented by households living here.
Salt workers will start working from 3am. The first thing they did was to create the cages, then pour the seawater that had been filtered the day before into the dried cages to keep up with the sun. In the afternoon, from 3pm to 4pm is the time when salt becomes a grain, salt collectors start to gather salt to the tent.

For those who love to experience, Bach Long Salt River is an interesting destination when they can witness and learn about the traditional salt production process with their own eyes.
Giao Hai fish market
Giao Hai fish market (Giao Thuy district) is a unique market meeting right on the shore. Except for the rough seas, Giao Hai fish market regularly meets 2 sessions/day. In the morning, the market is open from about 4am to 7am, in the afternoon from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, the time when fishing boats return.
Discovering Giao Hai fish market, visitors also have the opportunity to buy fresh seafood and seafood at affordable prices. The items here are always diverse in types: width, crab, shrimp, fish... Each type is also divided into types 1, 2, 3, depending on size from small to large.
