On February 3, in an exchange with reporters, musician To Hieu shared more about the information that artist Tan Bo sent a denunciation letter to the Ho Chi Minh City Police. The male musician said that he was not surprised and did not feel pressured by the new developments.
I am completely comfortable mentally. If I need to go to court or to the authorities for confrontation, I am ready. I have always worked without fear because I was not wrong," To Hieu affirmed.
According to the musician, during the time of knowing and collaborating, he helped Tan Bo many times when he knew the male singer's difficult circumstances. "I know Tan Bo is heavily in debt, life is difficult, so I lent money many times, each time from 10 to 20 million VND. The total amount accumulated amounted to hundreds of millions of VND," To Hieu said.
Not only cash, the musician said that he also once lent Tan Bo a pickup truck to serve his work. However, To Hieu said that later the male artist denied everything, claiming that it was just voluntary help, not borrowing. This made To Hieu "very surprised and disappointed".
I still keep the recording of the conversation between me and Tan Bo, which includes the content that I demanded money. I am not just talking. If the authorities intervene, I will provide everything," To Hieu added.
Musician To Hieu also shared that: "I don't want to argue, but when kindness is misunderstood, I am forced to speak up. Kindness also needs to be placed in the right place.
On Tan Bo's side, he still maintains the view of waiting for conclusions from functional agencies.
Further responding to the scandal with musician To Hieu, Tan Bo said: "Currently, I am waiting for the functional agency to summon me and Mr. Hieu. At that time, the truth will be revealed so that my whole family can understand clearly.
Previously, as Lao Dong newspaper reported, Tan Bo sent a denunciation to the Ho Chi Minh City Police, asking for legal support from Dao Viet Law Firm. In the complaint, the male singer affirmed that the amount of more than 100 million VND that To Hieu gave him was voluntary help, not borrowed money, and also said that he had performed without remuneration, self-financed expenses, and many promises of support from the musician were not fulfilled.
Currently, Tan Bo's side said that they have made a written record of 92 pages of documents attached to the denunciation and are waiting for the investigating agency to work with both sides.
The case is still of public concern. Both sides said they will wait for official conclusions from functional agencies to clarify right and wrong, ending the long-standing controversy.
