On February 3, the Department of Education and Training (GDĐT) of Gia Lai province said that it had reported to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee the results of verifying information reflected by Lao Dong Newspaper related to incidents occurring at Nguyen Van Cu Primary School (Quy Nhon Nam ward).
Regarding the content reflecting "Parent Representative Board accused of overcharging, school forced to stop sponsoring", Quy Nhon Nam Ward People's Committee has requested Nguyen Van Cu Elementary School and the Parent Representative Board (BĐDPH) to refund all funds mobilized to implement contents that are not in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, when there is no policy from competent authorities, with a total amount of more than 469 million VND.

Currently, Nguyen Van Cu Elementary School and BĐDPH are proceeding to return the mobilized funds to parents.
Regarding the reflection that Ms. T.T. K.N - an English teacher - arbitrarily corrected the end-of-semester I test of the 2025-2026 school year of students, the Principal of Nguyen Van Cu Primary School decided to temporarily suspend Ms. N from teaching to serve the inspection, verification, and clarification of the violation.
Through verification, the Culture and Social Affairs Department of Quy Nhon Nam ward determined that Ms. N had the act of editing the semester I test of the 2025-2026 school year of many students she directly taught.

From the above violations, the Culture and Social Department of Quy Nhon Nam ward proposed that the Principal of Nguyen Van Cu Primary School organize a review and discipline Ms. N according to regulations. The school is taking steps to review and discipline this teacher.
Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan assigned the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with Quy Nhon Nam Ward People's Committee and relevant agencies and units to monitor and direct the thorough resolution of incidents occurring at Nguyen Van Cu Elementary School.
The Provincial Chairman requested to clarify the responsibilities of the school's Board of Directors, handle responsibilities for violating organizations and individuals according to their authority; not to let the case drag on, causing negative impacts on the operation of the education sector. The handling must be completed and reported to the Provincial People's Committee before February 8.
The Department of Education and Training must immediately implement specific solutions to rectify the situation of overcharging, mobilize contributions and implement socialization of education against regulations; strengthen inspection of extra classes and tutoring outside the school, organize semi-boarding services and meals for students in educational institutions.
These activities must ensure the principles of publicity, transparency, voluntariness, and non-imposition; implement regulations correctly, with the supervision of relevant organizations and individuals, and strictly handle if negativity or violations occur.
