Talking to Lao Dong, a representative of BH Media - the unit that built the YouTube channel network for children's music - said that every year, the Tet, Summer, and Mid-Autumn Festival are the "golden season" for children's music.
During these times, songs about children can reach millions of views, enter the Top trending on YouTube, and have many new arrangements to meet the needs of the public. However, this music genre faces many barriers and difficulties.
Child music has many challenges, such as investment costs, YouTube Kids for children has lower profits, so production units are less interested, children have many diverse forms of entertainment, and the popular means for young audiences are more modest than music for adults. Even children have the habit of listening to music written for adults because they are influenced by the habits of family members. Even when watching YouTube Kids, they like to watch cartoons and entertainment programs more than watching music. Producing hundreds of new music videos for children each year, sometimes only a few videos are of interest," said a representative of BH Media.
Writing children's music is both easy and difficult
