On April 26, information from the People's Committee of Tho Phu commune, Thanh Hoa province said that local functional forces have completed the renovation and construction of walls around the ancient stone steles belonging to the Le Thi Hien relic complex (Tho Long village, Tho Phu commune).

Also according to a representative of the leadership of Tho Phu Commune People's Committee, the renovation has been basically completed. In the near future, when the fence system is dry, the locality will proceed to paint and mobilize people to plant flowers around.
According to actual records, in the area where the large stele was once requisitioned by people as a fence, functional forces moved this part of the wall to another location, and at the same time built a new wall around the stele to protect it.
It is known that the cost for "rescuing", renovating, and protecting the ancient steles in this phase is about 50 million VND.
Previously, according to information reflected, the Le Thi Hien historical and artistic relic complex includes two areas: the mausoleum, the stele to worship Le Thi Hien and Tu Vu to worship Le Thi Hai.

In the Tu Vu area (where the famous general Le Thi Hai is worshiped) built under the reign of King Le Gia Tong (1672-1675) and Le Hy Tong (1676-1705), in the campus there are two steles placed opposite in the East-West direction, including the stele "Le tuong cong su nghiep huan danh" (established in 1716) and the stele "Van the phung tu bi ky".
For many years, these two steles have been located in the residential land of Mr. Duong Ba Hung's family (Tho Long village, Tho Phu commune). One stele is located in the garden, the other stele was requisitioned as a fence.
After grasping the information, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province proposed that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee direct the People's Committee of Tho Phu commune to propagate and mobilize Mr. Hung's family to move the fence system out of the ancient stele area; and at the same time regularly clean and renovate the ground and surrounding space.
Representatives of Tho Phu Commune People's Committee added that in the long term, the locality will study adjusting the general plan and land use plan; implement compensation, site clearance and resettlement arrangement for households. On that basis, develop a project to preserve, repair, and restore relics, and submit it to competent authorities for consideration.
