In the latest episode of MBC's "Point of Omniscient Interfere," two members of the group Allday Project - Annie and tarzzan - appeared as guests, sharing stories about their family's reaction to the group's growing popularity.
Especially for Annie, she is a female idol with a tycoon background (daughter of Chairman of Shinsegae Group, Chung Yoo Kyung), so the public's attention is great.
When MC Hong Hyun Hee asked Annie if her parents regularly watched the show, the singer confessed that it was a show that was usually broadcast in her father's room.
After that, Lee Young Ja asked Annie in an exaggerated way if her parents were considering "retiring" when their daughter was reaping the success she had achieved so far?
Annie said she wasn't sure if her parents had thought about it, but she realized that her parents were spending more time watching TV.
Regarding her journey to convince her family to become a singer, Annie recalled that around the age of 10, she passed by her mother's room when a program was on air and happened to ask her mother what she thought if she became a singer.
Her mother immediately dismissed the idea, so Annie also thought it was impossible. A few years later, Annie once again mentioned her desire to become a singer, but her mother still resolutely objected.
Finally, after many convincements, Annie's mother declared that if she could pass one of the Ivy League universities, she would support her dream. In the end, Annie passed the Columbia University entrance exam and achieved her goal.
When asked about her ability to study, Annie explained that she is not necessarily a person with academic talent, but once she sets a goal, she will be determined to the end.

Right from the beginning of her career, Annie was labeled "the idol of a tycoon" because of her rich background, and she even had to face uncomfortable prejudices about her status as an idol.
However, Annie rarely mentions the negative side of her roots. On Mnet's "L1ve Wire", Annie stated, "Instead of feeling pressured, I wanted to change their perception by expressing more of my musical and performing abilities."
The singer showed a calm and mature attitude: "People mention this issue wherever I go, but it's something I have to accept naturally."
