Spending more than 3,000 billion VND to restore and embellish relics
Hai Phong currently has a dense system of tangible and intangible cultural heritages with 3,981 relics, 2 world heritages (natural heritage of Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba archipelago and cultural heritage of Yen Tu Monument Complex and scenic spot - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac), 9 relics, special national relic clusters, 257 national relics, 722 city-level relics and 33 national treasures. Notable among them are the Cat Ba archipelago Scenic Landscape Landscape, the Artistic and Artistic Relic of Con Son - Kiep Bac, An Phu - Kinh Chu - Nham Duong, the Bach Dang Giang Relic and ancient architectural works of French times such as: City Theater, Post Office, Hai Phong Station, ...
Regarding intangible cultural heritage, Hai Phong is one of the localities with 2 intangible cultural heritages honored by UNESCO, which are the practice of worshiping the Three Governmentes of the Vietnamese people (the representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity) and Ca Tru Singing (the intangible cultural heritage that needs to be urgently protected) along with 24 national intangible cultural heritages and 1,289 festivals. The whole city currently has 48 artisans in the field of Intangible Cultural Heritage awarded the title by the State (2 artisans of the people, 46 artisans of art). 96 artists were awarded titles by the State (9 people's artists, 87 outstanding artists).
In recent years, in addition to investing in and developing infrastructure and socio-economy, the city has paid attention to preserving and promoting the value of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. From 2021 to present, the city has supported nearly 38 billion VND to repair and restore 16 national relics, 54 city-level relics, mobilizing over 146 billion VND; made 181 investments in restoration, restoration of relics and investment in infrastructure, traffic connecting relics with a total amount of over 3,000 billion VND.

Promoting the potential and advantages of cultural heritages
According to Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai - Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong, in order to promote the potential and advantages of typical heritages and relics in the city, in the coming term, the Department will continue to implement the work of planning, managing, preserving and promoting heritage values, synchronously investing in infrastructure through traffic routes connecting East and West Hai Phong in a favorable manner. Especially for the world heritages in the city such as: Cat Ba archipelago; Con Son relic complex, Kiep Bac - Thanh Mai - Kinh Chu - Nham Duong and special national relics and clusters of relics.
For special national relics that have been approved by the Prime Minister for the Planning such as: Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem Temple; Cao An Phu Temple - Kinh Chu - Nham Duong... it is necessary to quickly organize the implementation of the planning, determine priority tasks to propose to the city to arrange resources to implement the planning in accordance with each stage. At the same time, it is necessary to build a long-term strategy, linking conservation with sustainable development; promote heritage digitalization, establish electronic databases, and build digital museums.
Along with that, the city continues to develop experiential eco-tourism associated with heritage, create unique tourism products; mobilize and diversify investment resources, encourage public-private cooperation in the preservation and promotion of heritage values; take advantage of international support capital for world heritages.
The city strengthens the implementation of regular and strong communication projects, projects and plans on heritages in the city, promotes multi-channel communication, and applies digital technology; conducts training for presenters and tour guides at relic sites. On the other hand, carry out heritage conservation with local community and economic development, encourage people to participate in tourism services; ensure economic benefits spread to the community, develop tourism associated with creating livelihoods for people, ensure the harmony of benefits for sustainable development.
