After officially announcing the project and cast, the movie "The Last Queen" continues to introduce First Trailer, bringing the first images of the eventful journey of Empress Nam Phuong.
First Trailer reveals the silent cracks behind the splendor of the Royal Family. The contrasting scene between King Bao Dai having fun with his mistress while Empress Nam Phuong laboring alone has shown the timeline chosen by the film: the period after Emperor Bao Dai and Empress Nam Phuong got married, had three children, when the vibrations of early love gradually gave way to the pressure of title, responsibility and scandals surrounding the Royal Family.

Through emotional slices, the trailer introduces Nam Phuong's journey as both a wife, a mother, and a Queen with the responsibility of preserving the honor of the Royal Family on her shoulders. Next to her are Emperor Bao Dai, Empress Dowager Tu Cung and dancer Le Ha - characters who contribute to creating conflicts and upheavals behind the Royal life.
Not only telling about a Royal marriage, "The Last Queen" also delves into the loneliness of a woman behind her title. Behind the rituals, rules and aura of the Imperial Palace are people with love, hurt and not-so-easy choices.
In particular, at the end of the trailer, Nam Phuong, played by Tang Thanh Ha, announced her separation from Bao Dai, played by Ma Ran Do. This detail attracted the attention of the audience.
Besides the announced actors, First Trailer also introduces many more talented faces such as Than Thuy Ha in the role of Agnès, Meritorious Artist Huu Chau in the role of Denis An, People's Artist Ta Minh Tam in the role of Editor-in-Chief of Vit Duc Magazine, Meritorious Artist Hong Van in the role of Duc Tien Cung, Steven Nguyen in the role of journalist Ho Dac... contributing to completing the multi-layered picture of the film.
Inspired by real events, "Last Empress" does not aim to recreate the entire life of Empress Nam Phuong or historical figures, but chooses to delve deeper into the emotional gaps behind the title. Through the story of love, marriage, family and responsibility, the film wants to bring audiences closer to the people behind the titles of Emperor and Empress - people who also know how to love, know how to be hurt and have to make difficult choices in their lives.
The movie "The Last Queen" is scheduled to premiere on March 5, 2027.
