The film "Stormy Family" depicts the journey to adulthood of Kang Tae Poong (Lee June) - a rich young master who suddenly became the head of a company on the brink of bankruptcy during the Asian financial crisis in 1997. Accompanying him to revive the company was talented accountant Oh Mi Seon (Kim Min Ha).
Initially, "Storm Family" was highly appreciated for its plot, setting, and acting. However, in the second half, the film was somewhat exhausted when falling into the dead end: telling a long story, solving ambiguous and repetitive problems.
Throughout the episodes, the male lead has to go through unreasonable obstacles, and over and over again, he is broken up by Pyo's family, but in the end, he will still find a way to solve the problem. In addition, Tae Poong and Mi Seon's love story also took up a lot of space.
This is also considered the reason, although it has aired 12 episodes, the work has not been able to surpass the 2-digit viewership rating mark (10%). Most recently (on the evening of November 16), "Stormy Family" recorded its highest rating since its premiere but also only reached 9.9%, according to Nielsen Korea.
A part of the audience regrets that the film has a good premise, has been noticed since it was broadcast, but has gradually lost viewers because the plot is so boring. Others think that the duration of 16 episodes is too long for Storm Family, and with this repetitive content, there will not be many interesting things for them to be excited or expect.
The film currently has 4 episodes waiting to be shown. The final episode of "Storm Family" is scheduled to air on the evening of November 30.
