Jisoo's new movie leads the anticipation chart before release

The movie "Boyfriend on Demand" produced by Netflix starring Jisoo is attracting great attention from global audiences, even before it aired.

The work starring Jisoo - a member of Blackpink - continuously topped the highly anticipated TV drama chart in the third week of February according to the OTT Korean Drama Viewer Assessment Report released by Consumer Insight.

Expected to be released globally on Netflix from March 6, "Boyfriend on Demand" belongs to the romantic comedy genre, revolving around Mi Rae - a webtoon producer who feels exhausted from office life. Through the virtual dating service called "Monthly Boyfriend", she experiences romantic relationships with many different types of men in the simulated world. The idea of combining familiar office settings and a virtual dating platform is considered new, creating a special attraction before broadcasting.

Besides Jisoo, the film gathers a rarely large cast of male actors. The male lead is played by Seo In Guk, along with a series of prominent guests such as Seo Kang Jun, Lee Soo Hyuk, Ong Seong Wu, Lee Jae Wook, Lee Hyun Wook, Kim Young Dae, Jay Park and Kim Sung Cheol. In total, there are nine male actors appearing in the role of the female lead's "boyfriend", bringing a colorful picture of ideal models.

The published images show that each character possesses its own color: from a naive first love in the cherry blossom scenery, a cold but enthusiastic corporation heir, a mysterious spy, a reliable doctor, a calm judge to a glamorous entertainment star. The line of ex-boyfriend characters played by Kim Sung Cheol is expected to create emotional depth, in contrast to the sweet virtual dating world.

In an interview with Singles Japan, Seo In Guk said he was attracted by the idea of exploiting complex emotional layers in a simulated environment. The actor also praised Jisoo for her positive energy on set. After previous debates about acting ability, this role is seen as an opportunity for Jisoo to affirm a new step on the screen.
