According to TV Report, the drama Delusion, which had previously had its adaptation plan canceled, is returning as an original Disney+ film, with a huge investment of up to 45 billion won (about 807 billion VND).
This huge budget project is directed by director Han Jae Rim of "The 8 Show", attracting attention with plans to film abroad, including China, thereby raising the expectations of experts and audiences.
Delusion is a mystery ky vong, adapted from the famous webtoon of the same name, set in Seoul (Korea) in35 and Shanghai (China) in the 1800s.
The film tells the mysterious events that painter Yoon I Ho encountered when he was assigned to paint a portrait of a charmingong woman named Song Jeong Hwa, and the process of being fascinated by this woman when her true identity gradually revealed over time.
Previously, Delusion was a project that was considered with the appearance of two actors Ryu Jun Yeol and Han So Hee. However, the filming plan was canceled, when the two artists were involved in a love scandal and announced their breakup just 2 weeks after publicly dating their relationship, in March last year.
The films huge budget is said to be due to the need to film abroad and use advanced CGI technology, factors needed to create a Korean setting in the 1930s and Shanghai in the 19th century.

Despite the initial failure, Delusion has been changed to a TV series, featuring two main actors Suzy, Kim Seon Ho, and Choi Hyun Wook according to the latest information.
Suzy and Kim Seon Ho once worked together in tvN's 2020 drama "Start-Up," and will reunite after 5 years. Fans are eagerly waiting for the chemistry on screen between the seductive robot Suzy and painter Kim Seon Ho.
Kim Seon Ho has recently been loved for his appearance as a guest in Netflixs hit series When Life Is for You. Delusion may be Kim Seon Hos first leading role in 4-5 years, since the drama Hometown Cha-cha-cha aired in 2021.
While his reputation is on the rise thanks to "Hometown Cha-cha-cha", Kim Seon Ho is suddenly caught up in a private controversy involving his ex-girlfriend. Due to this scandal, the actor had to cancel many film projects, withdraw from the TV show "2 days 1 night" and temporarily stop working for about 2 years.
Meanwhile, in recent years, Suzy has continuously achieved success with online platform film projects, including Coupang Play's "Anna" (2022) and Netflix's "Doona!" (2023).
Suzy will soon return with Netflix's "Genie, Make a wish" in the fourth quarter of this year. Therefore, Delusion continues to be a project of the Disney+ platform, promising to resonate with international audiences.
