Sharing with reporters about her recent success, Phuong Anh Dao said that she feels lucky to be featured in a good work that can touch the audience's emotions, which is the movie "Mai". However, the actress recognizes that she is still at the beginning of her career journey.
I appreciate it, but I also see that I have just had a big hit movie (i.e., Mai achieved more than 500 billion VND), not many movies yet. The career path is still very long," she said. According to Phuong Anh Dao, the success of a project does not mean that artists have to put pressure on themselves for the next steps. If there are works that have not met expectations for many reasons, she considers it a natural part of her career and life.
The actress believes that the important thing is to maintain curiosity, a spirit of learning and continue to work with a serious attitude. "Every project introduced to the audience, I always put quality first and put my heart into it," she shared.
Although loved by audiences and called by many titles such as "hundred-billion actress", "screen gem", Phuong Anh Dao said that she only wants to be recognized first and foremost as an active actress, seeking diversity in roles and images, but has not dared to think about titles.
When asked about an ideal Tet season, Phuong Anh Dao confided that it is when she has a movie in theaters, is welcomed by the audience, and her family can also watch and feel satisfied. For her, the joy of the profession and the support from relatives always go hand in hand.
Maybe I don't stay at home with my parents during busy times, but I still'meet' my family in a different form: meeting through movies, through the connections I create," she shared. After busy days of socializing, promoting and greeting the audience, what she expects most is still to return home and eat meals cooked by her family. If the movie is loved and achieves certain success in theaters, it will be a complete Tet season.
Regarding balancing between career and family in the peak period, Phuong Anh Dao admits that there is no absolute balance. According to her, when focusing on work, the time spent with family will decrease and vice versa. The important thing is that each period is chosen voluntarily and feel happy.
I get to work, my parents are healthy, and the family understands the job. If I don't see this occasion, I will see another occasion. When I prioritize a certain area, I am lucky to always have relatives supporting and accompanying me," she shared.
