Billboard has just announced the World Album chart, witnessing the vibrant competition of many leading K-pop groups.
Stray Kids took the lead with their new album KARMA, which debuted at No. 1. This is the seventh consecutive album of the group to top Billboard 200, making Stray Kids the artist with the most top 1s on Billboard 200 in the 21st century. The group also has five albums participating in the World Album Awards at the same time: 合 (HOP) holding 4th place (37 weeks), ATE at 11th place (58 weeks), ★★★★★★ (5-STAR) at 14th place (54 weeks) and ROCK-STAR at 17th place (42 weeks).
After three consecutive weeks of holding the title, TXT's The Star Chapter: TOGETHER dropped to No. 2, marking its sixth week on social media. ENHYPEN also followed closely with DESIRE: UNLEASH held 3rd place (13 weeks) and ROMANCE: UNTOLD (2024) ranked 16th (59 weeks).
Ateez continues to assert the attraction when Golden Hour: Part.3 maintains the No. 5 position for 11 consecutive weeks. Meanwhile, BTS still proves the class with Proof (2022) steadfast in the 6th place in the 168th week and the Live Permission to Dance on Stage - Live album in rank 10 (6th week).
Other names also made their mark: ILLIT's Bomb maintained 7th place (10 weeks), BTS' Jimin's MUSE increased to 12th place (58 weeks), NewJeans' Get Up climbed to 15th place (103 weeks), Seventeen's HAPPY BURSTDAY held 20th place (14 weeks). In addition, Blackpink's The Album continues to hold on to rank 24th after 113 weeks.
This week's rankings show the strong influence of the K-pop wave, as many artists maintain stable performance and continuously set new records.
