Considered a potential candidate from the beginning, Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi's coronation as Miss Grand Vietnam 2025 quickly became the focus of attention. In addition to the congratulations, there were many mixed opinions. Some audiences thought that Yen Nhi's victory was not really convincing, because her appearance was not too outstanding compared to the runners-up, while her performance on stage was judged by some audiences to be safe.
However, many people have a different opinion. According to them, Yen Nhi was chosen not only based on her beauty but also her intelligence, ability to maintain stable performance and the inspirational story behind it. Before the debate, on September 15, the Jury and the Organizing Committee spoke up to clarify.
Head of the judges' panel Ha Kieu Anh affirmed that the coronation results had been carefully considered: "We have to meet to discuss to get to the final results. The judges may have different opinions, but up to 80% agreed to choose Yen Nhi. That shows her persuasion. She emphasized that Yen Nhi has the ability to converge both beauty and intelligence, especially her behavioral and foreign language skills - an important factor when representing Vietnam at Miss Grand International.
According to Ha Kieu Anh, choosing a beauty queen is not only based on the final round but also a consistent assessment: Miss Grand requires many skills. Yen Nhi maintained a stable performance and a strong stage personality. Thats why she deserves it.
Sharing the same view, judge Doan Thien An said that the percentage of judges supporting Yen Nhi was very high: "During the working process, we all saw that she was a strong candidate. Not only does she have beauty, Yen Nhi also has the will to overcome difficulties, turning difficult family circumstances into motivation to move forward".
Thien An said that throughout the competition, Yen Nhi proved many factors needed for a beauty queen: height, bright appearance, good performance ability and especially calm demeanor. "Yen Nhi's stability and ability to handle situations are the factors that make her break through," the judge said.
From the perspective of the Organizing Committee, Ms. Pham Kim Dung - President of Miss Grand Vietnam - affirmed that the top criterion this year is readiness to step into the international arena: "The winner must be able to enter the competition immediately, within just the next two weeks, they have participated in Miss Grand International. That requires courage and quick adaptation".
Ms. Dung revealed that the working process between the Organizing Committee and the judges had many tense debates, but in the end, they all agreed: "Yen Nhi converges all three factors: Convincing the judges, having outstanding advantages and meeting international expectations".
Not only stopping at the contestant factor, director Hoang Nhat Nam - the program's organizer - also shared about the elaborate investment of the final night. The stage is designed like a golden gate castle in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, bringing a grand visual feast. In particular, the national costume competition held outdoors despite weather challenges still made a strong impression and received many compliments.
"We are very happy that our investment efforts have been recognized by the audience. That contributes to honoring the beauty and talent of the contestants, said the male director.
